Torah Montessori School welcomes new parents and children as we expand our school population to 90 students for the 2010-11 school year. In order to be considered for our preschool/kindergarten, a child must be between the ages of three and five years of age by September 1st, 2010. All new students to our elementary school program must be entering grades first through third for the 2010-11 school year.
The following is a listing of the specific steps in our admissions process:
All interested parents should attend an informational open house on Thursday, January 14 at 7:00pm. You will have an opportunity to hear about the Montessori curriculum model, tour the classrooms and ask questions relating to your individual child.
When parents reach the decision to apply for a space in the school, they must complete the downloadable enrollment packet and mail, fax or email it to the school with a $150 registration fee and $250 deposit (refundable if the child is not accepted to the program). Our school traditionally has a long waiting list and available spaces fill up within days of open enrollment; therefore, serious families should not delay in submitting enrollment packets.
Your child may be invited to be interviewed or observed by the Torah Montessori School Education Director before the school makes final enrollment decisions.
Admissions decisions will be announced in late January and early February. These decisions are based upon evaluation of the child’s previous school history, interview and/or observation and needs of the existing classes with regard to balance of age, sex and academic diversity. If a position is offered to your child at this time, your family must complete a complete registration packet and tuition agreement, and the $250 tuition deposit previously submitted will serve as a non-refundable down-payment for tuition.
If a place is not immediately available, you may wish to be placed on our waiting list. You will receive notification of waiting list status by June 1, 2010.
